Hamada Architects™ Embody / Photograph / Moment

HAMADA ARCHITECTS™ is a project by photographer Shin Hamada, who works in the fields of portraiture, interviews, and documentation.

The project consists mainly three elements:

1. Prototype production and sales
2. Publication of free papers
3. Dialogue in between people

It all started in 2022 when I found an unnamed structure in an alleyway.

Constructed with the bare minimum of materials readily available anywhere, it could serve as a storage shed, a shelter from the rain, or an impromptu standing bar.

"Make things with what I have" "Think multiple ways to use i" "Keep it as it is" This perspective expanded further in my mind, seeming to embody an attitude resisting society's imposition of uniformity and rationality.

Following the example of this nameless structure, I wondered if I could share my own questions and thoughts arising from daily life.

HAMADA ARCHITECTS™ was born from this idea.

Photographs, drawings, strolls, sociology, vending on sidewalks, skill tades, the words of predecessors, and even musings-all mixed together in a gentle form of anarchism.
