"How to Book" is a guidebook for those who are starting to make books, produced by Small Editions in NY. This book "How to Book in Japan" was produced by NC as the third book in the world after "How to Book in Berlin". It takes over the spirit of the NY edition and consists of the voices of 20 publishers, bookstores, and artists who carry out publishing activities in various places. While based on the NY version, the expected production is expanding more. Not to mention art books and collections, I aimed to be a signpost when you decided to publish a "book" to the world.

With ingenuity and ideas, it becomes a "book" that is not mass-produced or a very small number of copies, and that can be picked up by others and has room for expansion. I hope it will be a useful tool to guide, encourage, and give hints so that people who really want to make it don't have to give up. There are various styles of contributor activities. That's because everyone has their own beliefs about what to make a book and what to make a book for. When you make another book, you also need to find your own way to do it for your book. Even when exploring, let this book be a signpost again. It will be presented at the Tokyo Art Book Fair in 2023.
