A deeply personal meditation on solitude, longing, and the gap between who we are and who we pretend to be. Born from three months of near-total isolation, this project grew into something the artist never quite planned: a book that sits somewhere between photography, poetry, and confession.
At its heart, it explores a contradiction familiar to many: the performative sociability of modern life masking a profound fear of being alone. Through images made while looking inward, Polli traces themes of insecurity, desire, and the quiet paralysis of everyday life — lying on a bed, staring at the ceiling, eating pasta, doing nothing, and somehow finding beauty in all of it.
